Hyderabad, April 26 (PMI): A war of words broke out between the ruling Congress party and the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) on Friday over the implementation of Rs.2 lakh farm loan and government’s six guarantees.
The challenges and counter challenges were exchanged between two party leaders after BRS MLA Harish Rao’s visit to the Telangana Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park in Hyderabad.
Former minister Harish Rao along with party leaders came to the Gun Park and released his resignation letter to the media, demanding the implementation of the Congress government’s six guarantees by August 15 and daring Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to do the same and prove that he was not trying to cheat the people for votes in the Lok Sabha elections once again.
The former minister reiterated that he is committed to resign from his MLA post in the official format, if the six guarantees are implemented by the government.
Meanwhile, accepting Harish Rao’s challenge, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that former minister’s resignation letter was not in the prescribed format.
The Chief Minister said that Harish Rao did not come up with the resignation letter in the prescribed format and moreover, the letter was in a lengthy and was not a valid format.
