V. C. Sajjanar IPS Takes Charge as New Hyderaerbad Police Commissioner

Hyderabad, Sept. 27(Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI) Senior IPS officer V. C. Sajjanar assumed charge as the new Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, on Saturday. The Telangana government transferred the outgoing Police Commissioner, C. V. Anand, who has now been posted as Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Home Department.

Sajjanar, a 1996-batch IPS officer of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh cadre, was later allotted to Telangana after the state’s bifurcation. He began his career as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Jangaon in Warangal district and Pulivendula in Cuddapah district. Over the years, he served as Superintendent of Police (SP) in key districts including Nalgonda, Kadapa, Guntur, Warangal, and Medak, and held important positions in CID, OCTOPUS, and APSP.

He also served as DIG and IG in the Intelligence Department, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad (2018–2021), and Managing Director of TSRTC (2021). His appointment as Hyderabad Police Commissioner brings extensive experience in policing, intelligence, and public administration to the city.(pressmediapfindia.com)
