Hyderabad, Dec.29 Katherine B.Hadda, Consul General of the United States of America in Hyderabad traveled today in the Metro train along with MD, HMRL NVS Reddy from Rasoolpura to Mettuguda.
The MD has shown her the facilities at the Metro stations, the street level works being done by HMRL at the Metro stations and the state of the art user friendly systems in the Metro trains. He has also explained her about the unique financial model and the engineering and financial innovations of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project, which is the world’s largest Metro project in public private partnership (PPP) mode.
Appreciating the bold initiative of Hyderabad in building a Metro Rail project of this magnitude in PPP mode and the world class facilities at Metro stations, she said, “I was so happy to experience the beautiful new Hyderabad Metro rail, it is a great addition to the growing and vibrant city that is Hyderabad”.
Akash Suri, Assistant Public Affairs Officer, US Consulate and A. Balakrishna, DCP, Hyderabad Metro Rail also accompanied them during their train travel yesterday.
