Hyderabad, July 14 (Ameen uddin Asghar PMI): Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Minister, T Srinivas Yadav today said that elaborate arrangements are being made for grand Bonalu Jathara at Ujjaini Mahannklai Temple in Secunderabad. The bonalu festivities as part of harvest season will be conducted for two days on July 25 and 26, they informed.
They held a review meeting with officials on the Bonalu festival in the city. The Ministers instructed the officials concerned to provide all facilities for avoiding inconvenience to the devotees. Spruce up the temple and bylanes with lights and facilities and clean environment and follow corona norms they told officials. The corona protocols will be followed by all the devotees, officials and people at the temple to get rid of from the virus spread they said. The government offered funds for smooth and better conduct of the Bonalu in the city they claimed. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the people and the officials to participate in the festivities following corona protocols they said.
The Ministers stated that the officials were asked provide better amenities, traffic regulation, queue lines and barricading and parking. This time we expect a large number of devotees to the temples to pray special prayers they said. The ministers said that the devotees should wear masks, sanitise their hands and maintain social distancing during the festivities. All the temples are spruced up with lights and facilities and people have to cooperate for the successful conduct of the Bonalu festival.
The Ministers will offer silk clothes to the presiding deity and to pray for the well being of the people. The government has offered funds for the temples to celebrate the Bonalu festivities amid corona protocols.
As the cases and deaths drop down further the devotees are allowed to celebrate the festivities by following corona norms.(PMI)
