Hyderabad, July.19 (PMI): Home Minister Nayani Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Excise & Prohobition Minister Padmarao today appeared before railway court in Secunderabad in connection with a six-year old rail roko case.
The railway court magistrate adjourned the case to July 26. It may be mentioned here that a case was registered in 2011 against the two ministers on charge of organizing rail roko agitation at Moulali railway station during the Telangana movement. Fourteen persons were booked in the case, which was pending for the last six years.
Speaking to the media later, Narasimha Reddy said a false case was registered alleging that Godavari Express train was stopped and caused hardship to the commuters. The minister said though we went to the railway station, they did not obstruct movement of any train. After hearing the arguments of defense counsel and prosecution, the magistrate adjourned the case to July 26. (PMI)
