Two Arrested for Brutal Murder of Cab Driver in Suraram’N. Koti Reddy, MedchalI.P.S. D C P

Hyderabad:’May 31 (Shoukat-PMI) In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old cab driver, Syed Danish, was brutally murdered on the night of May 29, 2025, near Bathukamma Banda in the Suraram area. The Suraram Police have arrested the prime accused, Mohammed Bilal (32) and Mohammed Aslam (28), both residents of Jeedimetla, Jagathgirigutta.

Background of the Incident

According to police, Bilal and Aslam had ongoing disputes with the victim, Danish. On the morning of May 29, Danish invited Bilal to meet near Kattamaisamma Temple, Suraram, to consume alcohol. However, Bilal, wary of Danish due to their previous altercations, initially avoided the meeting.

Later that evening, Danish called Bilal again, insisting that he had already reached the temple. This provoked Bilal, who decided to settle their differences permanently. Armed with a Zambia knife, Bilal conspired with Aslam to eliminate Danish.

Sequence of Events

The three men met near Kattamaisamma Temple and drove to Bathukamma Banda, near the lake bund. While consuming alcohol inside Danish’s car (bearing registration number TS 07 UM 6469), a heated argument erupted.

In a premeditated move, Bilal attacked Danish with the knife, accusing him of threatening his life. Aslam joined in, stabbing the victim further and smashing his head with a cement stone. After ensuring that Danish was dead, the duo hid the blood-stained knife and Bilal’s clothes in nearby bushes, changed into old clothes found in the car, and fled the scene.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Under the supervision of the Medchal Zone Police, the Suraram Police acted swiftly to apprehend the accused. During interrogation, Bilal and Aslam confessed to the crime. The police recovered the murder weapon and the blood-stained clothes based on the information provided by the suspects.

Legal Action and Public Safety Assurance

Both accused have been sent to judicial custody. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Medchal Zone, Sri N. Koti Reddy, I.P.S., lauded the investigative team for their prompt action.
