Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen on modernizing the Police department to offer people-friendly services, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy has said.
“Hyderabad patrolling system by the Telangana police is on par with the American police patrolling and system and catering to the needs of the people. The entire police system has been changed to a great extent and the credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alone”, he added.
Along with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, the Home Minister launched Modern Police Station at Gachchibowli women police station. Speaking on the occasion, Narsimha Reddy maintained that Telangana has become No 1 State in the country in the maintenance of law and order. “Frequent patrolling by the police has drastically reduced the crime rate and theft cases have come down due to efficiency of the police officials and staff”, he said, adding that development was directly related to law and order and Telangana police were offering better services and earning good name for the KCR government.
“We give top priority for law and order to ensure total security to the people. With a view to strengthen and modernize police stations, the State government has released required funds”, the Home Minister said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao wanted the police stations to get new look like corporate offices with all the modern facilities. As per the Chief Minister’s directive, the official machinery was modernizing the police stations. The government has already released funds towards that end”, he added.
