Hyderabad, April 5 (PMI): Social Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar today said following the job notification for recruitment of 91,000 vacant posts, the State government was providing free coaching facility to the unemployed youth belonging to the Scheduled Castes through 11 study circles and 33 study centres and appealed to the youth to avail the facility.
Minister Koppula Eshwar garlanded the statue of former deputy prime minister Babu Jagjivan Ram on the eve of his birth anniversary at the Nizam College, here on Tuesday and launched the State-level celebrations to mark the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister recollected the services of Babu Jagjivan Ram, saying that he was a great freedom fighter and the best social reformer the country has produced.
Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, drawing inspiration from the ideals of Jagjivan Ram, was striving for the welfare of weaker sections, the Minister said the State government had spent over Rs.60,000 crore for the development of SCs during the last eight years and the quality education is being provided to the community children through 268 Gurukul Schools.
MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Rahul Bojja, secretary of SC & ST development department, Commissioner of the department Yogita Raana, chairmans of various corporations, including Errolla Srinivas, Balamallu and Nagesh and officials were present.( PMI)
