Hyderabad, March.12 (PMI): The 2018-19 Budget session will run for Twelve days this time from March 12 to March 27. The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) has taken this decision as the Governor ESL Narasimhan would go on foreign trip from March 28. The government informed the BAC meeting that it has to complete the session before March 28, to get the Appropriation Bill endorsed by the governor. The government informed BAC meeting that the employees would get salaries if and only if the Governor endorsed the appropriation bill before end of this month.
According to the schedule released by the government on the Session, the discussion on motion of thanks to the address by the governor and reply to the discussion on governor’s address by the government will be on March 13 and March 14. The government will present the budget on March 15. There will be no sitting on March 16, and the Congress party urged the state government to announce holiday to the House on March 17as the Congress members would attend the plenary to be held on the day at Delhi and compensate the day by running the House on March 25 i.e. on Sunday. The government considered the request of CLP leader K Jana Reddy and rescheduled the session duration.
After Ugadi holiday, the session will resume from March 19 and it will continue till March 27. On the final day, the government will complete the formality of getting the Appropriation bill and other government bills passed by the Legislature. Srirama Navami holiday will be on March 26.
