TS & AP BJP leaders condemn attack on Amit

Hyderabad,  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu came under severe attack by BJP leaders of the two Telugu-speaking States following the attack on BJP national president Amit Shah in Tirupati.
Addressing the media at State party office here today, State party president Laxman alleged that the AP Chief Minister was indulging in provoking acts just to cover up his government’s failures. It is shameful the TDP workers attacked BJP national president Amit Shah, while he was returning after worshipping Lord Balaji at Tirumala. He said the TDP was indulging in cheap politics as it was suffering from insecurity feeling of defeat in the ensuing elections.
Criticizing Chandrababu Naidu, Laxman said the people did not forget that it was Chandrababu Naidu, who backstabbed TDP founder late NTR to satiate his lust for power. He said Chandrababu Naidu should own responsibility for the attack on the convoy of Amit Shah. Demanding suspension of Superintendent of Police, Laxman said stern action should be taken for security lapses.
In Andhra Pradesh, former minister Manikyalarao said what will be the position of an ordinary party worker when there was no proper security for BJP national president Amit Shah. He demanded that the Governor review the law and order situation in the State in view of the incident.
Strongly condemning the attack on the convoy of Amit Shah at Tirupati, BJP leader in Andhra Pradesh K V Lakshmipathi Raju demanded that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tender an apology. He termed the incident as a cheap politics and demanded the Chief Minister to apologise for the incident. The BJP leader said non-bailable cases should be booked against those who involved in the attack. He also alleged that the AP police failed to provide security to Amit Shah.
