Hyderabad, March 26 (PMI): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today said that Telangana will not agree to lose its rightful share of river waters. Giving clarifications on several issues to the members of the house in the Budget session its leader said that the state will not compromise on the water issue. Telangana is an independent state and it will not allow looting of our waters, the chief minister maintained.
Without any compromise we will take our 15.9 tmc water from RDS come what may, the leader of the house asserted. We will make it to Delhi and fight with the Centre with our MLAs for our water share, KCR informed the house amid thumping of the tables by the treasury benches.
He referred to the unlawful acts of the Andhra Pradesh Government at Rayalaseema throrugh RDS or Pothireddipadu and others that will hamper Telangana interests of water. Replying to a query of the opposition leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Rayalaseema projects looting the share of Telangana waters, KCR announced that there is no question of losing a single drop of water. We have the right to fight and the case is subjudice and we cannot comment on that he said.
There is a case in the court, and a national green tribunal gave a stay order in this regard and we have moved the court. The judgement is yet to come and the AP cannot take away our waters,he vowed.
The chief minister further stated that even if he loses his life will not compromise on water row. KC Rao vowed to get its share of waters from the rivers supposed to. (PMI)
