Hyderabad, July.23: The TRS MPs team and other leaders today called on President-elect Ramnath Kovind in Delhi.
TRS MPs Jithender Reddy, Vinod Kumar, leaders Akbar Hussain, Ravishankar, Anand were those who met Kovind. Jithender and Vinod extended greetings to the President-elect, who also extended thanks to the TRS for its ready support in the presidential election. The MPs also discussed in brief on Telangana State related matters, it is learnt.
Ramnath Kovind will be sworn-in as 14th President of India at Raisina Hills, formerly known as Viceroy’s House, the President’s official residence, on July 25. It may be mentioned here that TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has readily extended his support to Kovind as BJP’s presidential candidate. KCR is also expected to participate in the oath-taking ceremony of Kovind on July 25.
