Congress leaders, Ministers visit Spoorthi Sthal in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Jan.16 (PMI): The 82nd birth anniversary of former union minister and Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy was celebrated on the grand scale in Telangana on Tuesday.
Ministers and Congress leaders visited the Spoorthi Sthal, a memorial built to honour former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy at PVNR Marg, Necklace Road, Hyderabad and paid floral tributes to the former union minister.
Minister for Excise and Tourism Jupalli Krishna Rao paid tribute at the Spoorthi Sthal and later, garlanded to the statue of Jaipal Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao said that moral values that former union minister S Jaipal Reddy had followed in his entire political career, would be inspiration for future generations and he made a special mark for himself in the country’s politics.
The Minister praised Jaipal Reddy that he had played a very important role in the formation of Telangana State and also made a lot of effort in bringing Metro to Hyderabad. Moreover, the Kalvakurthi Lift Irrigation scheme was realised only with the initiative of Jaipal Reddy, he said.
Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Tummala Nageswara Rao, scores of senior Congress leaders, including former minister Chinna Reddy also visited the Spoorthi Sthal and paid floral tributes to the former union minister.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders offered floral tributes to the portrait of Jaipal Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan and recollected Jaipal Reddy’s services for the country as well as Telangana State. Kisan Congress National Vice President Kodanda Reddy, TPCC Senior Vice Presidents Niranjan, Kumar Rao, Allam Bhaskar and others were present.(Pressmediaofindia,com)
