Hyderabad April 17 (PMI): The volunteers of TISS – Tata Institute of Social service in collaboration with Rachakonda Police and Rachakondan Security Council (RKSC) voulteers has helped new bornsin getting timely help. Sri Mahesh Bhagwat (IPS) Commissioner of Police Rachakonda has appreciated the Jawaharnagar Police, TISS and RKSC volunteers in responding promptly.
Sri Mahesh Bhagwat (IPS), CP Rachakonda has said that the Tata Institute of Social service (TISS) has started a social Economic profiling and need assessment of migrant workers residing in Commissionerate. The survey is collecting data on the social aspects, including the responsiveness of the migrants and psychological issues brought on by the lockdown so that the targeted approach can be helped as needed.
In continuation of the survey initiated on 14th April 2020, the survey was conducted at Jawahar nagar sector 1 – Mandal parishad school today by TISS and Rachakonda Police with Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC) volunteers. During the survey, the residing migrant of Malkaram has requested the team to help their new born baby with birth related complications. The baby was delivered at home as the parents could not afford institutional delivery charges. The Jawaharnagar Police Station Sub Inspector Anil and Circle Inspector Bhikshapati Reddy immediately arranged ambulance to shift the baby to CHC, Malkajgiri with the help of Sri Pawan and Kum Maheswari RKSC volunteers . The baby is under the observation of Dr. Raju, superintendent of CHC Malkajgiri. Based on the lab reports the baby will be referred to Nilofer Hospital, if needed, as said by doctor.
