Three Family Members Held for Ganja Peddling in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Jan 28 (PMI) The Telangana Prohibition and Excise Department arrested three members of a family for allegedly selling ganja in Hyderabad’s Dhoolpet area and seized nearly three kilograms of the banned substance.

Based on specific information, excise officials conducted a raid at the residence of Rohit Singh in the Machlipura locality of Dhoolpet. During the search, officials recovered 2.936 kilograms of ganja, which was found packed in bags and small sachets and concealed in the bathroom.

The accused identified as Rohit Singh, Rohan Singh, and Veena Ba, i were taken into custody. Two other family members, Santosh Singh and Nandini Singh, are currently absconding, and a search has been launched to trace them.

According to officials, the family procured ganja from suppliers in other states and sold it to local customers at higher prices.

A case has been registered against the accused at the Dhoolpet Prohibition and Excise Station, and further investigation is underway.(pressmediaofindia.com)
