Hyderabad, Jan 18 (PMI) Gudimalkapur police arrested three persons, including a Kenyan national, on Saturday, January 17, and seized ten bundles of counterfeit ₹500 currency notes from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Babulal Jatkukna (23), Dharmveer (22), and Aweys Hersi Salad (30). According to police, Babulal and Dharmveer travelled from Rajasthan to Hyderabad to deliver the fake currency to Aweys.
During the operation, police also seized four mobile phones and a motorcycle used by the accused. A case has been registered under Sections 178, 179, 180, and 318(4) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is underway to trace the source of the counterfeit notes and identify the wider network involved in their circulation. (pressmediaofindia,com)
