Hyderabad, Oct.21 ( Najaf Ali Shoukat- PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has advised the police to observe closely the changes happening in the mode of crime.
Speaking at a programme after participating in “Police Flag Day Parade” at Police Martyrs Memorial at Goshamahal Stadium here on Monday, the Chief Minister said the criminals were adopting new methods and even highly educated people were being cheated in cybercrimes.
“The people are being trapped in the cybercrime net within seconds. So that, the efforts should be made to curb such crimes,” Revanth Reddy said.
“Peace and security are the two important factors which required for the development of any state. No State will attract investments without the maintenance of law and order. However, Telangana has set an example for the country by establishing SIB and Greyhounds and the State police became role model for the country. Moreover, Union Minister for Home affairs Amit Shah has also appreciated the efforts of Telangana police in combating cyber crimes,” he said.
Expressing concern over the increase in drug abuse like ganja, heroin and cocaine in Telangana during the last ten years, the Chief Minister said the State government has taken stringent measures to curb drug trafficking by setting up the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau.
“The State government is providing all the necessary facilities to the Narcotic Bureau and moreover, it is working hard to eliminate drug trafficking,” he disclosed.
The Chief Minister said the city of Hyderabad is witnessing traffic problem and suggested the police that Artificial intelligence should be used in traffic regulation.
Terming the incident at Mutyalamma temple at Secunderabad as alarming, the Chief Minister said some forces with emotions and madness are creating disturbance by attacking the temples.
“Telangana people are clever and they should be vigilant about such incidents,” he advised.
Stating that the State government is taking up a slew of measures to enhance the self respect of police, the Chief Minister has informed that the State government has decided to establish Young India Police School with international standards in 50 acres.
“Apart from education, the school will also introduce sports and games. Government will support the children of police,” he said
