Nizamabad: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) B. Shivadher Reddy has taken serious note of the brutal murder of Constable E. Pramod, who was serving in the Nizamabad CCS unit. The DGP expressed deep sorrow over the death of the sincere and dedicated officer.
According to reports, Constable Pramod was attacked and killed with a knife by Sheik Riyaz, an accused involved in vehicle theft and chain-snatching cases, while being brought to the police station after his capture. The accused fled from the scene soon after committing the crime.
DGP Shivadher Reddy directed the Nizamabad Police Commissioner to form special teams to apprehend the absconding accused at the earliest. He also instructed IGP Multi-Zone–1 Chandra Shekhar Reddy to visit the crime scene and monitor the situation personally.
The DGP further ordered that the family of the deceased constable be consoled and that all necessary support be provided. He emphasized that search operations should continue based on available evidence and assured that the accused will be caught soon. (Pressmediaofindia.com)
