Hyderabad: The Telangana government issued a GO on Saturday announcing vacancies in 18,920 posts in the state police department.According to the GO issued by finance secretary Shiva Shankar in view of the creation of new districts in the state additional vacancies have been created. The 18,290 vacancies include 9,629 posts in civil department, 5,738 posts in Armed Resrve, 2,075 in battalion, 143 in communications, 599 posts under ministry and 106 posts in other departments.
Meanwhile, DGP Anurag Sharma issued an order on Saturday promoting 29 ministerial employees working in the state police headquarters. 10 Senior Assistants were promoted as Senior Superintendents and 19 Junior Assistants as Senior Assistants.
