Hyderabad, June 2, 2025(Shoukat-PMI) – The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has reported a notable decline in cybercrime complaints and financial losses during the first four months of 2025, attributing the success to increased public awareness, data-driven enforcement, and rapid action against offenders.

Telangana recorded an 11% drop in financial cybercrime complaints from January to April 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

Financial losses in the state decreased by 19%, with over a 30% reduction compared to the September–December 2024 quarter.

In contrast, cybercrime complaints and financial losses rose nationally by 28% and 12%, respectively, during the same timeframe.
Additionally, the state achieved a higher percentage of recovery (POH) of lost funds, improving from 13% in 2024 to 16% in 2025, reflecting better coordination with banks and digital platforms.
