Liquor sales in Telangana surpassed Rs 1,100 crore during the Dasara festival, with Hyderabad leading in sales.
HYDERABAD’ 214 Oct (PMI) Liquor sales across Telangana surged during the Dasara festival, crossing Rs 1100 crore. According to the state excise department, sales on October 11 alone amounted to Rs 200.44 crore, while Rs 152 crore worth of liquor was sold on October 10. Between October 1 and 10, alcohol worth Rs 852.40 crore was sold. Bars, liquor stores, and pubs across the state saw increased sales, contributing significantly to the state’s revenue.
