Hyderabad, March 10 (Ali Abbas-PMI)): Candidates from Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Communist Party of India ( CPI) filed nominations for the MLC polls under the MLA quota on Monday.
Vijaya Shanti, Addanki Dayakar and Kethavath Shankar Nayak filed their nominations as Congress MLC candidates while Neelikanti Sathyam submitted his nomination papers on behalf of the CPI. Similarly, Dasoju Sravan filed his nomination paper from the BRS party.
The polls for five vacancies in Telangana Legislative Council under the MLAs quota will be held on March 20.
At the nomination programme for Congress party, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and other Congress leaders participated in the programme. (PMI)
