Hyderabad: As the central government has canceled the CBSE class 12 exams, there is a strong possibility that the Telangana state government may also consider dropping the plan to conduct Inter second year exams this year.
Earlier, due to the rise of the second wave of the COVID-19 In Telangana, the first-year examination of Inter scheduled for May 1 was canceled, while the second-year examination of Inter was postponed.
On May 27, the Telangana state government submitted a report to the center stating that it plans to write the Inter second-year examination in the third week of July. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided during a high-level meeting to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board exam on Tuesday.
The Telangana government has yet to announce the final decision on the second-year examination.
It is estimated that 4,73,967 students submitted the fees for the second-year examinations.
Meanwhile, Student Islamic Organization (SIO) Telangana submitted a letter to Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary of the Intermediate Board (BIE), requesting that the second-year examination of Inter be canceled with a view to the second COVID-19.
Shortly after the CBSE announced the cancellation of Class 12 council exams for 2021, the Governments Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh also canceled the Class 12 state council exams on Wednesday.
