Telangana ideal for investments: KTR

Hyderabad May 6 (PMI): Wooing the diplomats of several countries for investments in the state, Information Technology and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today said that Telangana is one of the top destinations for doing business in India.

             The minister was addressing Deccan Dialogue conference on “Economic Diplomacy for Development” at ISB Campus in Gachchibowli along with Union Minister of Defence VK Singh and several other diplomats and dignitaries here.

             Speaking on the occasion,  he said With adequate land, resources, facilities and timely cooperation with all permissions in just two weeks the youngest state is in forefront in ease of doing business and remained ideal to other states across the nation

               KTR underscored the need for the external affairs ministry to cooperate for attracting investments from abroad. The minister noted that the youngest state of Telangana is number one in ease of doing business through unique and yet hassle free industrial policy in the country.

               Upon formation of Telangana the government has launched new economic policy and industrial policy he said adding that the state has potential and human resources for robust growth of industries, business and trade at international level and the need of the hour is to a focus by diplomats of other countries on the states.

            The IT Minister also maintained that the state has adequate land for the industries and companies to come up and start their business and those existing business to expand in Telangana.

          Foreign Affairs Ministry has to take an initiative for a positive and immediate response from other countries to come and invest in the state he said. In addition to that the diplomats also have to contribute for the development of the states which have diversified interests in business and trade, KTR said. VK Singh later said that his ministry will make efforts for attracting investments from other nations. (PMI)
