Hyderabad Jan 7 (PMI) In a significant administrative move, the Telangana State government on Wednesday ordered a major reshuffle in the police department, transferring 20 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and assigning them new responsibilities across various commissionerates in the state. The transfers span key urban and suburban regions, including Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Future City, Malkajgiri, and Siddipet, indicating a broad reorganisation of policing leadership.
According to official orders, senior IPS officer Tafseer Iqubal has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, South Range, Hyderabad, while N Swetha has been appointed Joint Commissioner of Police, North Range, Hyderabad. SM Vijay Kumar has been transferred as Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Hyderabad.
Several Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP)–level postings were also announced as part of the reshuffle. N Koti Reddy has been posted as DCP, Quthbullapur, Cyberabad, and Ritiraj as DCP, Kukatpally, Cyberabad. Ch Srinivas will serve as DCP, Serilingampally, Cyberabad. In the Future City Commissionerate, K Narayana Reddy has been appointed DCP, Maheshwaram Zone, Yogesh Goutam as DCP, Chevella, and Ch Sirisha as DCP, Shadnagar Zone.
In Hyderabad city, multiple zone-level changes were made. Rakshita K Murthy has been posted as DCP, Secunderabad Zone; Khare Kiran Prabhakar as DCP, Charminar; K Shilpavalli as DCP, Khairatabad Zone; S Sreenivas as DCP, Rajendranagar Zone; G Chandra Mohan as DCP, Golconda Zone; A Ramana Reddy as DCP, Jubilee Hills Zone, and B Rajesh as DCP, Shamshabad Zone.
In the Malkajgiri Commissionerate, K Suresh Kumar has been appointed DCP, Uppal Zone, B Anuradha as DCP, LB Nagar, and Ch Sridhar as DCP, Malkajgiri Zone.
Meanwhile, senior IPS officer Sadhana Rashmi Perumal has been posted as the Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, marking a key leadership change in the district.
