Hyderabad, May 24 (Shoukat-PMI): Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy today said due to lack of skills related to employment among the local unemployed people, outsiders were getting jobs in the State. He said the State government should try to fill this shortage and added that they were already training women at a skill center in Barkatpura under his leadership.
On Saturday, he visited Ratnanagar and Sajjanagar bastis in Secunderabad constituency and inspected the community hall being constructed there.
Speaking to media persons later Kishan Reddy said if the State government, leaders and officials take note of the condition of the unemployed youth and women and develop their skills in large numbers through skills centers, the job and employment opportunities would be available to the local people. He said there would be more jobs in Hyderabad in the days to come. He also said the youth and women should also be given priority in developing their skills thereby allowing them to seize the opportunities. He noted that this would also strengthen them financially.
He said he had inspected the construction of the community halls being undertaken in Ratnanagar and Satyanagar. He said when he was an MLA, he had undertaken the construction of a community hall in Ratnanagar. He said another community hall was being constructed as the population of the slum area had expanded.
The Union Minister clarified that there was a need to speed up the construction of infrastructure such as community halls, basti hospitals, drainages, and roads in these slums, and added that if the government allocates funds quickly under the auspices of the GHMC, the pace of provision of facilities would increase.
