MACH/ QUETTA/ ISLAMABAD/ KARACHI/ MELBOURNE: An Islamic State (IS) group, a terrorist wing of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for an attack Sunday that killed 11 miners from Pakistan’s minority Shiite Hazaras in Balochistan province.

The attack took place early on Sunday morning in the Mach area of Bolan district around 100 kilometers (62 miles) southeast of Balochistan’s capital Quetta, killing the miners who were in a shared residential room near the coal mine where they worked, officials said.

“The throats of all coal miners have been slit, after their hands were tied behind their backs and (they were) blind folded,” a security official told Reuters, requesting anonymity as he is not allowed to speak to media.

A video clip making the rounds on WhatsApp groups, apparently shot by a first responder, showed three bodies lying outside the room and the rest inside in pools of blood.

“The condemnable killing of 11 innocent coal miners in Mach Baluchistan is yet another cowardly inhuman act of terrorism,” Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a tweet.

“Have asked Frontier Constabulary to use all resources to apprehend these killers and bring them to justice,” he said.

The Islamic State later claimed responsibility for the attack, through its Amaq news agency via its Telegram communications channel.

The attack came after a relative lull in nearly a year of violence against the mainly Shiite Hazara minority in the province.

In April, a market suicide bombing killed 18 people, half of whom were Hazaras.

Following Sunday’s attack, members of the Hazara minority in Quetta blocked the western bypass and set fire to tyres to protest against the killings.

Baluchistan is the focus of the $60 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor, a transport and energy link planned between western China and Pakistan’s southern deepwater port of Gwadar.

Hazaras have been frequently targeted by Taliban and Islamic State militants and other Sunni Muslim militant groups in both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The attacks in Afghanistan have been claimed by an affiliate of the Islamic State.

In 2013, three bombings killed more than 200 people in Hazara neighborhoods in Quetta but neither the local, national and international media allowed to flash these mass Shia killings nor any “official” was permitted to speak out over Shia genocide while they all were strictly bound to issue the statement through press releases, handouts and TV talk shows and news that there are no existence of Taliban, ISIL, ISIL, al-Qaeda and all other terror group in Pakistan and after launching many operations like Zarb-e-Azb, Radd-ul-Fasaad etc plus National Action Plan, Pakistan become a peaceful country, affected areas especially Karachi and Quetta turned into paradise, world should learn with Pakistan that how security forces work and how state provides safety and security to minorities particularly Shia Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Qadianis (Ahmadis), Parsis and others and all the Pakistani governmental organizations, police, rangers, army, print and electronic media did exactly the same for which they were bound by the “Space Creature” and the entire world particularly “Immigration Authorities” of dozens of countries believed in Pakistani official as well as private versions regarding “no existence of Taliban in Pakistan” and decided thousands of visa cases in their countries mainly in Australia which was millions time biggest disaster than the destruction which the Shia victims have already been faced.

Neglecting the details highlighted by Messenger and PMI and ignoring the world most exclusive reporting, the above immigration authorities and case officers refused thousands of protection visa applications of genuine Shia victims and deport them from their countries, sources claimed.
