Syrian warplanes hit IS near Raqqa: State TV

Raqqa – Syrian warplanes carried out several air strikes against the Islamic State group (IS) in an urban area, east of Raqqa Province, and near the borders with Deir Ezzor Province, a military source told the state television on Saturday.
 
The source said that the Syrian warplanes carried out air strikes on the Islamic State headquarters in Ma’dan and Be’r al-Sabkhawi urban areas, in the eastern countryside of Raqqa, destroying several headquarters and vehicles, as well as killing many members of the radical group.
 
Meanwhile, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that for the first time in weeks, the Syrian Army carries out an attack in this area, near the station point of the US-backed Syrian forces
