District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that surveillance teams are working to ensure peaceful elections in the Hyderabad district.
Hyderabad, Nov.4 (PMI): In order to conduct peaceful elections for the forthcoming General Elections to the Telangana State Assembly, surveillance teams are working continuously, said the DEO & Hyderabad District and Commissioner, GHMC here today.
The DEO Hyderabad Ronald Rose explained the works done by the different departments to the Election Observers. Subodh Singh, IRS (C & CE), Laxmikantha Dasappa, IRS (C & CE), Mahesh Jiwade, IRS MH, Dr.. Meetu Agarwal, IRS, Dhanunjaya, IDAS, Mrinal Kumar Dass, IRS, Arjun Manic, IRS, Justin Vedham Muthu, IRS attended the meeting.
The Nodal Officers from Different Departments, Election Nodal Officers appraised works done by their respective departments to the Election Observers. The DEO explained to
control illegal liquor, cash, precious metals, three flying squads for each Assembly Constituency total of 45 teams are working round the clock, and 3 teams of SST, VST drafted for each Assembly Constituency and collected Rs 3.45 crore worth of cash and precious metals, today alone Rs 1.95 crore was seized. The Nodal Officer from Police Department informed that the flying squad seized Rs 46.81 crore.
Similarly, the Nodal Officers of GST State, Central, RBI, Income Tax, SLB Bank Narcotics, Excise, Transport have appraised to the Election Expenditure Observers that they have seizing the illegal liquor, cash, precious metals , Ganjaai, Narcotics. To control the flow of above items 18 Integrated Check Posts established DEO informed to the Observers. Further the sale of liquor at liquor shops are being supervised from the Control Room from time to time, through the CC Cameras provided at 178 liquor shops. Apart from this, the movement of flying squads, SST, VST Teams are being watched with the GPS system attached to the vehicles.
Later, the Expenditure Observers Teams inspected MCC Control Room, Suvidha, C-Vigil, Voters Helpline 1950 Control Room where the DEO have explained the functioning of the above sections. In the meeting, the Nodal Officers appointed from State and Central Government departments officials, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Sandilya, Addiitional C.P Vikram Singh Maan, District Collector, Hyderabad and Deputy DEO Anudeep Durishetti, Additional Collector Madhusudhan, Additional Commissioner Shankaraiah, Election Expenditure Observer Sharath Chandra, and others participated in the meeting.
