SURPRISE CHECKS CONDUCTED AT SUPER MARKETS BY CYBERABAD COMMISSIONER OF POLICE SHRI VC SAJJANAR

Hyderabad 26th Mar (PMI): Following meeting with all the super market owners and food suppliers head on Wednesday, the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS., along with Madhapur DCP Venkateshwara rao, IPS., and food supply chain network co-ordination and monitoring nodal officer for Cyberabad limits DCP Anasuya conducted a surprise check at all the supermarkets in the region of Kondapur, Gachibowli, Madhapur and Kothaguda.

During the checks, Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS checked the MRP’s of the products being sold at the supermarket. In the interaction with the owners he instructed them not to charge more than the given MRP’s. Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS., also interacted with the people who were present in outlets and suggested them to buy products only how much was required for a week and not buy overstocks. As this create unnecessary panic among people and leaving behind no resources for other people to buy.

He also visited the vegetable hawkers and inspected the hygenic conditions under which the vegetables wereb being sold to the people. In an interaction with the hawkers Shri VC Sajjanar, IPS., instructed them to conducted the sale of vegetables only till 6 pm in the evening, post which they close down everything till the lockdown period till 15th April. He also asked them to sell the vegetable at given rates.

In a public appeal Shri VC Sajjanar, IPs., told the people there was no need to panic as long as they are home quarantine as instructed by the Government of India and Telangana. Smt C Anasuya from Cyberabad Police has been appointed as the Food supplying chain nodal officer who would keep tap on all the prices of the price of the food products being sold in the region.

Not only this, a constable officer from every police station has been appointed by the nodal officer who visit the outlets at regular intervals to keep a check on the prices and the sale of food products to the people.
