State moving towards Golden Telangana: Governor Infant State receiving accolades from all quarters

Hyderabad,  Governor ESL Narasimhan today reiterated that the infant Telangana State has been on growth path for the past three-and-a-half years and living up to the expectations of the people.
The Governor unfurled the national flag after reviewing the parade and receiving salute by Air Force, Navy and Army at Secunderabad Parade Grounds to mark 69th Republic Day. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said he was proud to announce that the State government was able to fulfill the desires of the people and spending a whopping Rs 40,000 crore for their welfare.
“I recall my first speech in Telangana was delivered from the same place in 2014 and now with a lot of confidence that the pace of progress will soon reach the destination of Bangaru Telangana”.  The Governor said the long cherished dream of people has become a reality on June 2 with the formation of Telangana State which is now becoming a role model for other States in several fields. It came across some hurdles and challenges and overcame them with collective efforts and setting records of sorts in ease of doing business and other sectors, he observed.
Incentive, 24-hr power to farmers historic
Narasimhan stated that in power front the state has surpassed all the odds by addressing related crisis with 6574 mw power, now able to produce 14845 mw and will do so 28000 mw by 2020 to become surplus state. The government has succeeded in its efforts to supply 24 hours free power to agriculture sector and plans to offer a boon of Rs 4000 per acre towards crop investment for Annadataas (farmers) that relieve them of loans.
A plethora of programs have been implementing for various sections to boost rural economy, infrastructure development, industrial growth and employment to the working class bringing smiles on the faces of people. Irrigation alone is getting Rs 25000 crore for completion of projects and Kaleshwaram will turn North Telangana into green bed. Godowns facility provided for 24 lakh metric tons of produce in the state.
‘Justice being done to all sections’
Listing out the flagship programs, the Governor said that the government has left no stone unturned to strategise its plan for inclusive growth and allround development. Besides giving impetus to empower Yadavas and fishing community the government came up with sheep scheme and fisheries scheme and modern saloons being offered for Nayi Brahmans. With 12 per cent growth in exports IT sector being expanded to second rung cities in the state and provided two lakh jobs including private sector and haritha haram is on to protect environment. The Government with a focus on welfare and development has come up with schemes and programs for the cause of the people. The government was offering Rs 75,116 for marriage of poor girls through Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak and pensions of Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 he said. Salaries for Anganwadis, Asha workers, home guards, VRAs were increased.
The government provided modern facilities in the hospitals by spending Rs 265 crore, KCR Kits with Rs 12,000 assistance for women was giving positive results and spending adequate funds for SC, ST, BC and Minorities for education, giving Rs 1,000 pension to Gouda community and Rs 5 lakh accident insurance, he added.
The Governor pointed out that NITI Aayog described these programs as role models, and Rajender Singh, popularly known as the ‘water man of India,’ was all praise for Mission Kakatiya program during his visit to the State. He celebrated his birthday on the bund of Nekkonda tank in Warangal district where he termed Mission Kakatiya as a great program, he said.
Stating that Mission Bhagiratha had won the prestigious HUDCO award, Narasimhan said the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report had stated that TS stood first in the country in income growth. “The Centre declared that the State stood first in ‘Ease of Doing Business.’ In 2017, India Today adjudged the State as State of the States. New York’s Mercer declared Hyderabad as the best City in the world in 2016. CNBC TV 18 felicitated the State for its comprehensive development. The Telangana TRANSCO received the prestigious Centre Board of Irrigation and Power award for its outstanding performance in new and renewable energy in the country,” he said.
‘Awards & appreciation endless’
Works taken up on the Kaleshwaram project won appreciation from the Central Water Commission, experts, visiting representatives from other States and several other organizations, the Governor said, adding that the list of awards and appreciation received by the State was endless.
The Governor enumerated various developmental programs and welfare schemes launched by the State government, including the 24×7 power supply to the agriculture sector, irrigation projects, farm loan waiver, Farmers’ investment Support Scheme, Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak, Aasara pensions, 2BHK for the poor, subsidized sheep distribution to Yadavas and Kurumas and the various initiatives in the agriculture sector, among other programs.
