He began his service as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jangaon (Warangal district) and later at Pulivendula (Kadapa district). He went on to serve as Superintendent of Police (SP) in five important districts Nalgonda, Kadapa, Guntur, Warangal, and Medak earning a reputation for effective policing and public outreach.

Subsequently, he served as Vice Chairman and Managing Director (VC & MD) of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), where he introduced administrative and financial reforms to improve efficiency and commuter services. His “MBA” educational background supported his reform-oriented leadership style.
As Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Sajjanar now heads one of Telangana’s most critical law enforcement agencies. His focus areas are expected to include strengthening law and order, expanding smart policing initiatives through technology, ensuring women’s and cyber safety, and fostering community engagement.
