Spooked by Modi, cats, dogs, snakes and mongoose have united: Amit Shah attacks Opp parties At a rally on BJP’s Foundation Day in Mumbai, Amit

At a rally on BJP’s Foundation Day in Mumbai, Amit
Shahlaunched a scathing attack on so-called Opposition unity stating that PM Modi had spooked ‘cats, dogs, snakes and mongoose to unite’.
The remark was a jibe at the Congress and other Opposition parties which have been planning to fight together to counter the BJP.
He further said: “This is not the Golden Age of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the golden era of BJP will come when in West Bengal and Odisha BJP governments will be formed.”
He said that BJP had started with 10 members and now had more than 11 crore.
He made stinging comments against the Opposition parties, which are making efforts to form a coalition to take on the BJP in next year’s Lok Sabha polls, by equating them to ‘snakes’, ‘mongoose’, ‘dogs’ and ‘cats’.

He also accused the Opposition of not allowing the Budget session of Parliament to function. The session concluded today.
During his speech, he insisted that the Modi government had done a lot for all sections of the society and that the BJP will seek to win the 2019 Lok Sabha polls on the basis of work done rather than by making “hollow assurances”.
“Rahul Gandhi and others are saying that we are demolishing reservation for SCs and STs. We are in no way demolishing the reservation (policy),” Shah said in his address on the occasion of the BJP’s 38th Foundation Day.
He went on to add, “Rahul and (NCP chief Sharad) Pawar, listen. BJP will never end the reservation policy. And even if you want to end the reservation, BJP will never allow it.” The BJP president’s remarks came in the backdrop of the recent controversy and agitation after a Supreme Court ruling regarding the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, which is seen by many as dilution of the law.
Shah also made the party’s stand on reservations clear by stating that they will not abolish quota and will never let anyone do so as well
Recently, Congress took a stand by adopting “a pragmatic approach for cooperation with all like-minded parties by evolving a common workable programme to defeat the BJP-RSS in the 2019 general elections.”
Meanwhile, West Bengal CM and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee as well NCP’s Sharad Pawar have been meeting a host of leaders from regional parties to drum up support and discuss a ‘Third Front’.
On the BJP’s 38th Foundation Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today credited party workers for taking the organisation to new heights.
The BJP is the party of “a New India” and his party “believes in India’s diversity, its unique culture and the strengths of 125 crore Indians”, he said.
“For @BJP4India, the Karyakartas are everything. They are the heart and soul of the party, whose sweat has taken the Party to new heights. It is due to their efforts that we have the honour to serve people all over India and fulfil their aspirations. #IndiaTrustsBJP.
“I bow all @BJP4India Karyakartas on the special occasion of the Party’s Sthapana Diwas,” Modi said in a series of tweets.
The prime minister said at 4:30 PM today he will interact with party volunteers through a live video interaction, via the Narendra Modi Mobile App.
“It is always special to interact with hardworking Karyakartas!” he tweeted.
Modi also thanked the countrymen for their “unwavering faith” in the BJP.
“It is our commitment that we will continue to devote ourselves towards India’s transformation. #IndiaTrustsBJP,” he tweeted
