Speed up Railway works: CS tells officials

Hyderabad, July 25 (PMI): Chief Secretary Dr S.K. Joshi today instructed officials concerned to speed up the works on pending Railway projects in the State.
Chief Secretary held a meeting with the Railways and other officials at Secretariat and discussed on the progress of railway projects in the State. Joshi also sought to know about road over bridges and road under bridges and asked them to talk to Collectors of the Districts to see that the land issues were resolved. Coordinate with other departments and speed up the works to complete them as per plan, he exhorted them.
The Chief Secretary also instructed them to workout a strategy to complete the works and ensure better services to people. The officials informed about the works at Narayanpet, Peddapalli, Manchirial and others. He also took stock of progress of works related ROBs and RUBs, Railway line between Bhadrachalam and Sattupalli, Moula Ali, Ghatkesar, Tellapur-Ramachandrapuram, Sanathnagar-Moula Ali Junction construction which have to be speeded up. Joshi said the government wais ready to allot lands to the railways for the purpose. The SCR General Manager has said they will complete all the projects in coordination with State government.
Those who attended the meeting include General Manager of the South Central Railway, Gajanan Malya, Principal Secretary to Revenue Rajeshwar Tiwari, Principal Secretary to Finance Rama Krishna Rao, Singareni CMD Sridhar, TSSPDCL CMD Raghuma Reddy and others.
