Hyderabad, Jan.4 (PMI): Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi said that various development works are being undertaken with special focus on the development of Hyderabad city with the aim of providing better services with all facilities to the people.
On Saturday, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, along with local MLA Danam Nagender, laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various works undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.54 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the Municipal administration is constantly working to provide better facilities to the people and as part of its endeavour, funds have been allocated for various projects, and development works are being completed at a fast pace.
The Mayor inaugurated the development works undertaken at a cost of Rs. 11.5 lakhs to reduce traffic problems at Taj Krishna Junction and the junction development works completed opposite GVK Mall at a cost of Rs. 12.75 lakhs.
She inaugurated the open air mini theatre at Jawahar Nagar Park, undertaken at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs. The beautification works developed at a cost of Rs. 1.96 lakhs as part of the junction development near KBR Park were inaugurated.
Similarly, the Mayor laid the foundation stone for the construction of a CC road connecting multiple areas on Nandi Nagar Road No. 14 (from Union Bank of India to Nandi Nagar) at a cost of Rs. 145.80 lakhs, and for the development of CC roads connecting various areas from Masjid to Brahmakumaris on Banjara Hills Road No. 14 at a cost of Rs. 148 lakhs.
“These development works will reduce traffic problems and improve the living standards of the people,” she said. (PMI)
