Nalgonda, Dec.21 ( Shoukat-PMI): In the monthly crime review meeting held with the police officers at the Nalgonda District Police Office, Nalgonda SP Apurvarao ordered the officers to take all steps to clear pending cases and take steps as per the plan to solve the pending cases quickly and reduce the number of pending cases.
Apoorva Rao asked about grave and non-grave cases in the pending cases and said investigation in grave and non-grave cases should be done in full transparency with quality investigation in each case. He said everything from the registration of the case to filing of the charge-sheet should be thoroughly researched and finalised. He said the investigation in Foxo and Grave cases should be completed quickly and the charge-sheet should be filed in the court.
He suggested that every officer should be familiar with the complete investigation and station management. If necessary, the concerned judges should take more initiative to solve the cases themselves.
The officials at all levels should work towards reducing the number of cases by keeping a special focus on long-pending cases and taking steps to solve them immediately.
He said 16 functional verticals taken up by the Telangana State Police Department such as reception, crime vertical, tech team, station writer, court duty officer and so on verticals should be strictly implemented and use technology to provide accessible services to the people and provide speedy justice. He said efforts should be made to create awareness about the importance of CCTVs in villages through community policing. In the same way, quality and speedy services are provided with the main objective of protecting women while ensuring their safety.
Students and the public should be made aware of cyber crime and the use of Dial 100. Visible policing and patrolling should be intensified, measures should be taken to prevent the consumption of alcohol in public places, and the movements of old criminals should be monitored to prevent thefts. It has been informed that friendly policing should be followed, the complainants should be dealt with courteously, their complaints should be accepted and they should be held accountable.
Drunk drives should be conducted every day to prevent road accidents and special drives should be conducted with a special focus on speeding, triple driving, minors driving vehicles and so on. He said strict measures should be taken with a special focus on anti-social activities like ganja, gambling and transportation of PDS. He warned that the PD Act will be registered against those who commit such crimes repeatedly. Also, in the National Lok Adalat which will be held on the 30th of this month, speedy justice will be done in minor cases that can be compromised, and all the parties should take advantage of it.
