DCP Sneha Mehra Warns Against DJs, Bike Stunts During Milad Juloos
Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI): Ahead of the upcoming Milad-un-Nabi Festival – 2025, a coordination meeting was held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Purani Haveli, on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Sneha Mehra, IPS, DCP South Zone, and attended by the President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, and other members of the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee along with senior officers of South Zone Police.
During the meeting, police officials urged the committee to appeal to all organizers to participate in the main procession at Macca Masjid during Zohar prayers.
The DCP made it clear that DJ systems will not be allowed during the procession. Any violation, she warned, would invite legal action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Hyderabad City Police Act, and the Noise Pollution Act. Committee members assured that DJs would not be permitted and pledged full cooperation.
Organizers were further instructed to ensure that no nuisance activities, such as bike stunts or removal of silencers, take place during the event. The police also stressed strict compliance with the prescribed route and advised that the procession should move from one side of the road only to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
The committee informed that volunteers would be deployed to monitor the procession. For easy identification, the DCP distributed caps and T-shirts to the volunteers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee agreed to all directions and assured their full support to the police for ensuring a peaceful and orderly Milad-un-Nabi procession.(pressmediaofindia.com)
