Hyderabad, Sikhs will be celebrating 351st birthday celebrations of last Sikh guru Sri Gobind Singh from December 23 to 25.
In a pressnote here today, Prabhandak Committee of Central Gurdwara Saheb, Gowliguda president S. Inder Singh, joint secretary S Joginder Singh and State secretary S Joginder Singh Dua stated in this connection, a `Nagar Keertan” procession will be taken out on Saturday evening from Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda. On the day of Prakash Utsav, which falls on December 25, Mass congregation will be held at Nizam College grounds from 11 am to 4.30 pm.
A large number of devotees will take part in the procession. It will be marked by rendering of holy hymns by various Jathas, men, women and youths. After the culmination of the congregation, free community kitchen will be served to the devotees. Night keertan darbar (night congregation) will be held on Sunday at Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda from 9.30 pm to 2 am. On the occasion, “Amrit Sanchaar” (Holy Baptism) will be organized at the Gurdwara Sahib premises at 11 am. Those interested may enroll their names with Gurdwara Head Granthi.
