Hyderabad:Feb 28 (Ali Abbas -PMI):Raising its demand precisely when the election of Telangana Legislative Council are being held for Teachers and Graduate category, the Shia Civil Council for Social Justice reiterated their demand for nomination of Shia Muslim Community member in Telangana Legislative Council under the Governor’s quota in social service.
According to Mr. Hidayath Ali Mirza, Director and National President of the Shia Civil Council for Social Justice the Honorable High Court of Telangana on the request and representation of the Shia Council has directed the State of Telangana, represented by its Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare Department to pass appropriate orders within four weeks for the nomination of Shia Muslim member to the Telangana Legislative council (MLC) under the Governor’s Quota under Article 171(5) of the Constitution.
Mr. Hidayat said that since the process of Elections and Nominations to the Telangana Lesgislative Council have begun its right time that the Telangana Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Revant Reddy should pass appropriate orders for the nomination of MLC from the most deprived and Politically disadvantaged Shia Muslim Community.
Shia Community is a Micro Minority, Minority within the Muslim Minority throughout India making it politically difficult for the community members, leaders and representatives to voice their demands for the Socio-Economic and Educational Upliftment of the community, said Mr. Hidayat.
Notifying about the nature of the Shia Civil Council for Social Justice, Mr. Hidayat said that it’s a Non-Political and Non-Profit organization working for the representation of the Shia Community at Center and State Government’s throughout India for proper representation inclusion of the community members in various welfare schemes for the Minorities throughout the length and breadth of the country and improving their Socio-Economic and Educational state of affairs.
Apart from this the Shia Council is also taking up the issue of permissions and grant of lands for Educational Institutions like Engineering College, Medical College, Dental College, Degree and PG College, Primary to High Schools under the Minority Welfare and Developmental Schemes of the Center and State Governments along with Land for Ashoor Khana (Place of Worship), land for Grave Yard and construction of Hussaini Bhavan for the community said Mr. Hidayat.
He said numerous representations have been made for the renovation of Shia Masajid’s, Ashoor khanas, Grave Yard’s and Protection of Shia Waqf lands.
While going through the ground reports its has been seen that Director’s and National President’s Mr. Hidayat Ali Mirza, Mr. Shabbir Ali Mirza and Syed Shakeel Hyder, National Secretary, Mr. Syed Hyder Raza Naqvi, Syed Abid Hussain’Mohammed Ali Hyder’ along with other office bearers and members of the Council are working selflessly for the betterment of the Shia Community and are receiving tremendous support and appreciation from various Shia Welfare and Social organizations/Associations, Anjuman’s, Prominent intellectuals and eminent personalities apart from the vast majority of the Shia Community Members.
