SETWIN expands opportunities for skill development with affordable courses

Hyderabad, Nov.10 (Taher hussain Kazmi-PMI): SETWIN (Society for Employment Promotion and Training in Twin Cities) is now extending its services across the Telangana State by offering various new courses.

            With over 20 centers, the SETWIN is now providing vital skill training programmes to students, unemployed youth, and women, enabling them to secure employment or pursue self-employment opportunities.

            Anantha Satish, Coordinator of Dilsukhnagar Chaitanyapuri Center, informed that SETWIN aids thousands of individuals each year across diverse fields, offering students and the unemployed a path to self-sufficiency.

            He further stated that by keeping fees nominal, SETWIN ensures accessibility for lower and middle-income groups, and with support from NGOs, it even covers training fees for some underprivileged students.

            Anantha Satish said the organisation is now offering training classes in over 60 courses, from MS-Office, PGDCA, Multimedia, and Networking to more specialized skills like mobile repair, solar technology, diesel mechanics, CCTV operation, and auto electrician skills.

            The courses are structured to be highly practical, with 20 percent theoretical and 80 percent hands-on training, and they range from 3 months to a year, costing between Rs.1,500 and  Rs.6,000.

            Stating that the SETWIN is offering specialised courses for women, he said it places particular emphasis on empowering women through skill-based courses like beauty and cosmetology, mehndi design, fashion and textile design, garment making, and tailoring.

            These courses are designed to open up employment opportunities specifically for women, with fees capped at Rs.3,000. Moreover, courses are offered for aspiring educators, including pre-primary teacher training, calligraphy, spoken English, and garment making, with classes available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

            Anantha Satish emphasised SETWIN’s mission to alleviate poverty by equipping students with job-ready skills.
