H yderabad May 12;2021– Facts of the case are that the complainant is working as an ATM Cash Loading Officer with Writer Safeguard company and daily he, along with driver and 2 others, used to collect net cash from head office at Begumpet, Prakash Nagar and load the cash in ATM machines as per the schedule given. As usually, on 29.04.2021, in the afternoon around 12:30 hours, they went to their head office and collected net cash of Rs. 2,07,00,000/- (Two Crores Seven lakhs rupees) for loading in 23 ATM machines in the city. The complainant along with ATM officer Srinivas, security guard Ali Baig, Driver Krishna started to Vivek Nagar of Kukatpally on their Tata 207 Pickup Vehicle, bearing No: AP36-Y-9150, and loaded Rs. 10,00,000/- cash at Vivek Nagar HDFC ATM. After that they went to another HDFC ATM Machine at Vijaya Nagar, near Heritage Super Market, Kukatpally to deposit Rs. 12,00,000/- cash. Complainant along with Srinivas both went into ATM centre with Rs. 12,00,000/- cash for loading while security guard Ali Baig stood outside. While Srinivas was taking cash details printouts from ATM machine and Complainant was opening cash bundles, at about 13:50 hours two unknown persons aged about 20 to 25 years tried to enter into the ATM. At that time, among them one person was holding a pistol and wearing helmet. They immediately fired at security guard. Immediately he along with Srinivas tried to catch them. Then the offender also fired on Srinivas, due to which he sustained severe bleeding injuries. In the scuffle, the helmet of the offender fell down. In the mean time, another person rushed inside the ATM and took one bundle of 500 notes and rushed to the person who fired the gun on motorcycle. They both fled towards Usha Mullapudi Kaman road. Immediately, he called Dial 100. Then he shifted both the injured persons to hospital in ambulance with the help of surrounding people. On checking, he noticed that 5 lakh rupees bundle was missing. Srinivas telephoned to him and informed that they both were taken to Kukataplly Ramdev Rao hospital and that Mr. Ali Baig was declared dead and he was undergoing treatment. Complainant also rushed to Ramdev rao hospital and saw Ali Baig expired. Then, basing on the complaint, a case was registered in Kukatpally Police Station.

- Mukesh Kumar, S/o. Ramchlitara Mahto, Age: 21 yrs, Occ; Student, R/o. Gandi Maisamma, Dundigal, N/o. Tolemathurapur, Kusaiya post, Samasthipur Dist., Bihar State.

Profile of the Accused:*
The accused Ajeet Kumar is a native of Tolemathurapur, Rampur Village, Samasthipur (dist), Bihar State. He came to Hyderabad in 2011 in search of work and worked as a labour in different packaging companies in LB Nagar, Keesara and Dundigal PS limits. In 2018, he left his works and got addicted to alcohol and started facing financial problems. In order to meet his financial problems, he decided to commit Robberies. Once in Dundigal area, he noticed Money Transfer office situated in the first floor and observed its surrounding places. He parked his motor cycle in front of a tea hotel situated nearby the bank. He went inside the bank and approached cash counter and enquired about transferring of money to others with his ATM card. The Cashier replied that he is having some other work. In the meantime, Ajeet Kumar took Iron rod and attacked the Cashier. The Cashier received bleeding injuries on his head and legs. When the Cashier started shouting loudly, Ajeet Kumar tried to take cash from the Cash Counter, but invain. He immediately fled from the place. On 28.05.2018 morning, while Ajeet Kumar was moving on his bike B.No: TS 07 AKTR 2614 at Gandimaisamma X Road, Dundigal. The Dundigal Police caught him, brought to P.S and remanded vide Crime no: 256/2018 U/s 393 IPC of Dundigal PS, dtd. 28.05.2018. The case is chargesheeted and he is facing trial. After his release from the jail, he went back to his native place.
In February 2020, he again came to Hyderabad and stayed with his friend Rajan Kumar N/o. Bihar and R/o Gandi Maisamma, Dundigal. He worked in a local Packaging Company for about 8 months. Later, joined in another packaging company situated at the same place. He again decided to commit offence to earn easy money to overcome his financial problems and to meet his vices. In March, 2021, the accused Ajeet Kumar transferred an amount of Rs. 30,000/- to his friend Mukesh of Bihar State for purchasing country made pistol, 05 live rounds. On 27.03.2021, his friend Mukesh came to Hyderabad from Bihar with country made pistol and live rounds. One day they went outside Gandimaisamma nearby forest area at D-Pochampally carrying their country made pistol and 04 rounds. The accused Ajeet practiced one round firing.
*Modus Operandi:*
On 16.04.2021, while both the accused persons were moving in night hours in Jeedimetla area in order to commit offence, they noticed one Laxmi Money transfer Services at Quthbullapur. They entered into that and threatened the shop owner by showing pistol. They took away his Apple mobile phone and Rs. 1,95,000/- Net cash, escaped from there and went to Ajeeth Kumar’s friend Praveen’s (R/o Toopran N/o Bihar) room at Toopran and taken shelter for 02 days. On 18th March, 2021, they came to Gandimaisamma room. After that, they divided the looted money into two parts viz., Rs.1,15,000/- for Ajeet Kumar and Rs. 80,000/-as Mukesh’s share.
On 24.03.2021, they committed Theft of Pulsar 150 cc bike near Gland Pharma Lab at Dundigal. On 26.04.2021, they went to Keesara and committed theft of Pulsar 220 cc Bike. They left the Pulsar 150 cc bike at Keesara and came back on the stolen Pulsar 220 cc bike.
On 29th April 2021, both the accused came to Erragadda Circle on Pulsar bike and noticed ATM cash loading vehicle. They followed that vehicle till it reached HDFC Bank ATM, situated near Siddartha college opp: BJP Office, Kukatpally. They observed the staffer of cash management agency loading the cash in the ATM. After loading the cash, the ATM cash loading vehicle left the place. They again fallowed the ATM cash loading vehicle till it reached another HDFC ATM centre at Patelkunta Park, Kukatpally. This was around 13.50 hours. The staffer were loading the cash in the ATM. Immediately, the accused Ajeet Kumar wearing helmet went near the ATM by showing pistol to the Security guard. The security guard tried to grab the weapon. Then the accused Ajeet Kumar fired on the security guard, due to which he received injury. In the meantime, two staffers came from Ajeet Kumar’s back side and tried to hold him, but Ajeet Kumar succeeded in opening fire again injuring one of them. In the scuffle, the helmet of Ajeet Kumar fell down. Later, on the instructions of Ajeet Kumar, Mukesh went into the ATM and took one 500 rupees note Bundle (5 lakhs) and escaped from that place. They went to Medchal on Pulsar bike via. Miyapur – Bachupally – Kajipally ORR Service road. They parked the Pulsar bike at a nearby Temple situated opp: VRL Transport, Medchal. After that they came to the Gundla Pochampally room by walk and stayed for few days to avoid Police tracking. On Dtd. 11-05-2021 the both accused had decided to go their native place of Bihar state, at the same time the Police came to accused room and arrested them based on the credible information.
The two accusd persons had committed (05) offences in the limits of Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates.
