Hyderabad : Council Chairman, Swamy Goud, Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary and Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram today instructed the police and other officials to ensure that the crucial presidential election be conducted in a smooth manner. The Presidential election is scheduled to be held on the Assembly premises from 10 am to 5 pm on July 17, in a secret ballet manner.
The legislators will exercise their franchise for voting the candidates of their choice by pressing numbers one or two, and there is no chance for casting vote for NOTA in this election. The officials have made tight security arrangements for the election in the Assembly premises. Earlier in the day, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal made a visit to the Assembly and inspected the arrangements and interacted with the officials.
