Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, Nov 22 (PMINEWS)President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday lauded revered spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba, saying he inspired millions of people to dedicate themselves to selfless service. She made these remarks while addressing the birth centenary celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi in Sri Sathyasai district.
Highlighting the spiritual leader’s core message, President Murmu said, “Service to Mankind is Service to God.” She added, “Sri Sathya Sai Baba linked spirituality with selfless service and personal transformation, inspiring millions to follow the path of service.”
According to the President, Sathya Sai Baba encouraged his followers to align spirituality with public welfare. She expressed satisfaction that his devotees across the world continue to serve the underprivileged, noting that his message of selfless love through selfless service inspires the Sri Sathya Sai organisation to actively volunteer for societal welfare.
President Murmu also emphasized the eternal and universal values promoted by Sai Baba. “Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings of ‘Love all and serve all’ and ‘Help ever, hurt never’ remain timeless. He believed that the world is our school, and the five human values—truth, good conduct, peace, love, and non-violence—are our curriculum,” she said.
Earlier in the day, President Murmu arrived at Sri Sathya Sai Airport in Puttaparthi around 11 a.m., where she was received by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and other dignitaries. The President and the Chief Minister then attended a special programme at Poornachandra Auditorium as part of the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
