Hyderabad;22 Nov’ (PMI) On the intervening night of 20/21-04-2024 at 2330 hrs after completion of the DB Shah procession, deceased person Mohit Khan and his friend were going to home and when they reached near Fazal Café, Owaisi Colony, Santosh Nagar, around 23:30 hrs, the boy juveniles along with associates suddenly have approached them and attacked on the deceased Mohit Khan with a knife, pounced on his left side of chest and right side of abdomen, which pierced inside the body resulting which Mohit Khan sustained severe stab injuries and fell down on the ground and they sped away from the spot. Meantime the deceased Mohit Khan has been shifted to Owaisi Hosptia, where the Doctors declared bought dead.
C) APPREHENSION OF ACCUSED PERSONS: –
On 22.04.2024 at 0530 hrs Sri. K Satyanarayana along with staff of PS Santosh Nagfar have apprehended the boy juveniles along with his associates.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ACCUSED:
DCP South East Zone Sri. Patil Kantilal Subhash, IPS, said the boy juveniles, identified as BJ-1 to BJ-7, along with their associates, A1 and A2, have participated in annual DB Shah Dargah procession conducted within the limits of the Santoshnagar Police Station. During the last year’s procession, one of the juvenile had a quarrel with the deceased Mohit Khan, while dancing in the procession. However, the issue was amicably resolved at that time. On 20.11.2024, one of the boy juveniles brought a knife with him to cut a birthday cake during his friend’s birthday celebration. After the party, in the evening, BJ-1 to BJ-7, along with associates A1 and A2, attended the Urs program at DB Shah Dargah, Santosh Nagar. While they were celebrating, one of the juvenile had a quarrel with the deceased’s brother Mohd. Anas, over a petty issue. In response, Mohd. Anas called his brother Mohit Khan over the phone. Mohit Khan, accompanied by his friend, arrived at the Dargah and, after speaking to his brother, they began questioning the juveniles about the altercation. Mohit Khan and his friends then physically assaulted the juveniles by beating them with their hands and kicking them. During the confrontation, Mohit Khan picked up a stone from the ground and attempted to attack the juveniles. At this point, the juveniles became enraged. One of them drew a knife from his waist and attacked Mohit Khan, repeatedly stabbing him forcibly in the left side of his chest and abdomen. Another juvenile restrained Mohit Khan during the attack. As a result, Mohit Khan sustained severe bleeding stab injuries and collapsed on the road.
MODUS OPERANDI:
The modus operandi that involved a group of juveniles (BJ-1 to BJ-7) and their associates (A1 and A2) regularly participating in the DB Shah Dargah procession, where past tensions with the deceased existed. On the day of the incident, one juvenile carried a knife, initially intended for cutting a birthday cake, but later used it during a quarrel that escalated at the Urs program. A minor dispute with the deceased’s brother lead to the involvement of Mohit Khan, who confronted and attacked the juveniles. In retaliation, one juvenile restrained Mohit Khan while another juvenile repeatedly stabbed on him in vital areas, causing fatal injuries. The incident reflects impulsive aggression, group dynamics, and a disproportionate response fuelled by lingering resentment and immediate provocation.
ARREST: On 22-11-2024 at 1330 hours.
