Bengaluru, Nov 13 (IPM) In a first for its 100-year history, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is set to hold a legally authorized route march in Karnataka, marking a significant shift in the organization’s approach toward constitutional compliance.
Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge announced that the RSS had obtained formal permission from authorities to conduct the march, following the Karnataka High Court’s approval on November 16 under specific conditions aimed at maintaining law and order.
Kharge noted that the move represents a “new precedent of legal adherence” for the RSS, which has often faced criticism in the past for conducting activities without formal authorization.
“This is the first time in a century that the RSS will march within the framework of the law, with full governmental sanction. It shows a willingness to operate within constitutional boundaries,” Kharge said.
The court’s conditions stipulate that the event must be peaceful and non-provocative, with authorities monitoring compliance to prevent any disruption to public peace.(pressmediaofindia.com)
