Hyderabad, October 26: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 4.15 kg of hydroponic ganja, valued at Rs 4.15 crore, from a passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
According to DRI officials, the Indian passenger arriving from Bangkok on October 25 was intercepted based on specific intelligence. A thorough search of his luggage revealed packets containing a greenish lumpy substance, which later tested positive for Cannabis.
The drugs were reportedly hidden inside a false bottom of the luggage. The passenger has been arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985, and further investigation is in progress.(pressmediaofindia.com)
