Hyderabad, Nov.13 (PMI): Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao today stated that the Government will allocate Rs 10000 for strengthening the health sector. He inaugurated a 100-bed ICU unit facility with modern equipment at Niloufer Hospital in the City here. Speaking on the occasion the Minister state government is committed to strengthen the health sector. The minister said that Rs 33 cr will be released for the construction of 800 bed facility at the Niloufer Hospital.
After Corona pandemic we suffered losses in all sectors and surpassed problems in health sector, he said. To equip the health sector we are ready to spend adequate funds, the minister said. For this the government will allot Rs 10000 cr, the minister stated.
Harish Rao claimed that Telangana has set a record and surpassed national average in vaccination. He suggested that the health officials and staff coordinate to provide improved medical services. The government health facilities should provide services on par with corporate hospitals, he said.
The Minister said that the government will start works related to four super specialty hospitals in the city. These hospitals to come up in four sides of the city will ensure the best medical services he claimed.
Health Minister said that the government has also allotted Rs 133 cr towards tackling of third wave in the state. Thus the health officials and staff are doing well and can provide better services to the people, he suggested. The state health sector was able to address the issues related to corona Corona patients. We have strengthened our health sector with more facilities by spending adequate funds, he maintained.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed to improve health facilities to offer better medical services to the people in the state, he said. As per KCR directions the health sector is getting more facilities and spending funds across the state.
Harish Rao expressed hope that the health sector with improved medical facilities and equipment would cater to future needs of the patients and people in the state. (PMI)
