Hyderabad, Feb 9 (PMI) Shahalibanda Police have registered a case against notorious rowdy sheeter Ayub Khan and another accused, Mohd. Farooq of Kummarwadi, in connection with a cheating and criminal intimidation case.
According to police, the complainant was induced into a business partnership in 2024 and invested ₹4.70 lakh. It is alleged that the accused misappropriated the profits and later obtained gold ornaments weighing about six tolas from the complainant on the pretext of clearing debts. The gold was allegedly mortgaged and not returned.
Police said that in January 2025, when the complainant sought settlement of his dues, Ayub Khan allegedly threatened him with dire consequences and warned him against approaching the police. Due to fear, the complainant did not lodge a complaint earlier and has now come forward.
A case has been registered as Crime No. 47/2026 at Shahalibanda Police Station. Ayub Khan is reportedly involved in 79 previous cases, and special teams have been formed to apprehend him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Charminar, Kiran Khare, said there would be zero tolerance towards rowdyism, intimidation, extortion and organised crime. He urged the public to share any information regarding the whereabouts of Ayub Khan with Shahalibanda Police, assuring confidentiality.(pressmediaofindia.com)
