Hyderabad, Oct.26 ( Najaf Ali Shoukat -PMI): The Habeeb Nagar police arrested notorious rowdy sheet Mohd Khaiser alias Chor Khaiser residing beside Yousufain Dargah, Nampally, who was involved in an extortion case.
- Bhanu Prakash Reddy, SI of Habeeb Nagar PS received information on October 24 that one Vanarasi Yadagiri of Gudimalkapur approached Mohd Khaiser to eliminate his rivals, who were involved in the murder of his brother Vanarasi Raju in 2016 under Golconda Police Station limits. Mohd Khaiser accepted the proposal for which Yadagiri sent the photographs of the rivals to Mohd Khaiser and he demanded Rs 2 lakh to carry out the task with his associates and collected the amount from Yadagiri at Al-Madina Hotel, Habeeb Nagar. But Mohd Khaiser failed to execute the task and postponed the same on one or other the pretext. Later, Yadagiri requested Mohd Khaiser to return his money.
Subsequently, Mohd Khaiser started threatening Yadagiri to pay Rs 4 lakh stating that he would eliminate him if he failed to comply. Due to fear, Yadagiri paid Rs 2 lakh at Sun City and an additional Rs 1.5 lakh at Tabanda Hotel and recently in 2021 and 2022, on continuing threatening by Mohd Khaiser over phone, Yadagiri paid Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 15,000 at different intervals. Finally, Yadagiri requested the police to take action against Mohd Khaiser for his extortions, criminal conspiracy to commit murder (Supari) and threatening.
Police said the modus operandi of the accused was that he was threatening innocent persons and extort money from them at knife point, taking supari to commit murder, land grabbing, settlements and so on. The rowdy sheet started his criminal activities with pocket picking and committing theft. Later in the year 1995, he assassinated one Afzal at a Toddy compound, Goodshed, Nampally, Hyderabad along with his friend Aqeel.
After release from jail on bail, the accused formed a gang and started threatening innocent persons and involved in as many as 22 criminal cases, land grabbing, land settlements and so on and earned around Rs 100 crores illegally. Due to his criminal activities, externment orders were issued in 2011. After completing one year externment, he returned to Hyderabad and again started his criminal activities, due to which he was detained under P.D. Act in the year 2014 and was lodged in Cherlapally Prisons. Mohd Khaiser was apprehended and produced before the Court on Thursday and was sent to judicial remand.
The police appealed to the general public not to be afraid of Mohd Khaiser and lodge complaints personally or anonymously through Hawkeye, or Hyderabad City Police Whatapps for initiating action against him as per law.
