The Revenue authorities of Sherilingampally constituency from Medchal
Malkajgiri district on Monday filed their counter in Tollywood actor Prabhas’s
guest house in the High Court. They explained about the circumstances that led
to the seizure of the guest house. They said the guest house of the actor
was located in Sy No 5/3 of Panmakta village in Rayadurg mandal of the
district. It is spread across 2,083 sq.yds.
Following
the submission of the counter, the High Court adjourned the case to December
31. It may be noted here that acting on lunch petition moved by the actor,
the HC had issued status quo orders in the case and restrained the revenue
authorities from taking further action in the case a couple of days back. The
actor had approached the court challenging the decision of the Revenue
authorities to seize his guest house without giving any notice to him. He also
submitted to the High Court that he had bought the property legally. The actor
also told the Court that he had made an application for regularization of the
land and paid Rs 1.05 crore fee towards the same. (PMI)
